31st IQ-Net conference in Aachen

The 31st IQ-Net conference took place in Aachen, Germany on 7-9 December 2011.
The conference “EU Cohesion Policy and New Financial Instruments” examined the role of the Financial Engineering Instruments (FEIs) in Cohesion Policy programmes and the experience of partners with the use of FEIs, looking at different aspects of their development and implementation, including issues such as State aid. The meeting provided also an opportunity to discuss the new Structural Funds regulations and preparations in partner regions and countries for the next period, as well as assessing progress of the 2007-2013 programmes.
The MOU was represented by the Director of the Planning & Development Department, Mrs Evita Papakonstantinou.
