52nd IQ-Net Conference in Ghent

The 52nd conference of the IQ-Net network took place on 20-22 June 2022 in Ghent, Belgium, hosted by the Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship Agency.
The conference was partly organised as a hybrid event enabling online participation in the main meeting sessions of 21 June 2022 for those who were not able to attend in person.
The main theme of the event was: “Programme Developments & Sustainable Urban Development in Cohesion Policy”. The conference provided an opportunity to discuss the approaches of IQ-Net members to Sustainable Urban Development in Cohesion Policy, as well as the remaining activities of the 2014-20 programmes and the preparations and launch of the 2021-27 programmes.
Τhe main conference sessions were attended online by: Mrs E. Papakonstantinou, Director of the MOU’s Planning & Development Department, as well as by Mr P. Oikonomakos, member of the Department; Mrs A. Kanakaki, Head of the MOU’s Expert Team for State Aid Projects, as well as by Mr G. Chourdakis, member of the Expert Team; Mr A. Vorloou, member of the MOU’s Expert Team for the Green Fund; and Mrs Eftychia Papachatzopoulou, member of the Executive Unit of the Ministry of Environment and Energy - Environment Sector.
Mr E. Kokkinakis and Mr N. Passas, members of the Greek Managing Authority for the OP “Transport Infrastructures, Environment and Sustainable Development 2014-2020” attended the conference in person. On 21 June 2022, during the “Partner Spotlight” session of the conference, which explored Sustainable Urban practices implemented by network partners, the two Greek delegates presented a recently introduced project called: “Sustainable urban micromobility through the development of municipal e-bike sharing schemes”.
