47th IQ-Net Conference in Delft

The 47th conference of the IQ-Net network took place on 11-13 December 2019 in Delft, the Netherlands, hosted by the Managing Authority Kansen voor West.
The main theme was :“Preparing for 2021-2027: programming, projects and stakeholders”.
The discussion focused on the early thinking and planning that is taking place in the IQ-Net partner regions and countries for the 2021-2027 programming period. The conference provided participants the opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas for the drafting of the future OPs and PAs, specifically with regard to the planned delivery mechanisms (project generation and selection) and stakeholders' engagement. The conference also addressed the state-of-play of the 2014-2020 programme implementation and invited partners to present projects they have successfully developed and implemented in their regions/ countries as best practices.
The MOU was invited to present as a best practice the project: “Addressing the lack of engineering capability: a challenge for multi-level governance”. The presentation was made by I. Agapitidis, Head of the MOU’s Task Force for Remote and Island Areas. The conference was also attended by the MOU’s representative to the network, E. Papakonstantinou, Director of the Planning & Development Department.
The Greek Ministry of Development & Investments was also represented at the conference by three delegates who expressed the Greek views and positions on the issues under discussion: G. Tsoni, representative of the Cabinet of the Secretary General for Public Investments & PA, A. Mara, Special Coordinating Service for the Implementation of the Operational Programmes and A. Romanou, Special Service for Institutional Support.
