Many Greek municipalities are currently in the process of elaborating Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs), initiating the path towards a more sustainable future. Recognizing the importance of this endeavor, MOU in cooperation with DAFNI Network and the initiative for the establishment of a network of municipalities for sustainable mobility in Greece and Cyprus (CIVINET CY-EL), have agreed to:

a)Produce useful thematic guidelines on specific projects, procurement practices and policies related to SUMPs. The aim of these guidelines will be to assist a broad spectrum of municipalities in maturing and implementing the projects that they will undertake.

b)Investigate the possibility for further funding opportunities of activities in the framework of the SUMPs.

In the coming period, every effort will be made to reach out to all interested parties such as educational and research institutions in Greece and abroad, and other relevant bodies in order to explore ways of possible collaboration and to ensure that all available expertise and know-how in this field is fully exploited.
